The Seasiders of Palm Beach Shores, Florida

The Seasiders were formed in 1951 by a group of 5 women to promote the Spirit of Service and Friendship among its members and to stimulate interest in Palm Beach Shores.  The Seasiders raise funds for philanthropic causes and more than $220,000.00 has been raised over the past 67 years.  The Seasiders,  generally limited to women who are Palm Beach Shores residents (full time or part time),  are non-political and non-profit.

The Seasiders are active from October to May of each year.  Every February The Seasiders host its major fundraiser, a two-day bazaar at the Palm Beach Shores Community Center.  The bazaar features everything – clothing, jewelry , books, tools, household items – from ‘ trash to treasures’.  All funds go to local charitable organizations.

On the first Thursday from October to May, The Seasiders host a luncheon with a guest speaker.  Programs and activities presented at the luncheons are educational and informative.

The Seasiders also have three sub groups:   Community Service,  Four Arts/Home and Garden and Social.

Community Service meets on the 2,3rd and 4th Thursday of each month and plans the annual Charity Bazaar.  Members work on projects to be sold at the bazaar or donated to Charitable organizations.  This group also  promotes outreach in our community through service with local organizations.

Four Arts/Home and Garden Group arranges group trips to plays, tours of homes and gardens, and other cultural and historical destinations in Palm Beach County.

Social Group incorporates three sub-groups: plan a monthly social event to play bridge, mahjongg and other card games; plan the monthly luncheons; and plan other Social events.

Special events during the year are the Annual Holiday Tea and Cookie Exchange, Holiday Market, Tasters Lunch and Pizza Party. A Book Club meets monthly to discuss current fiction and non-fiction works,.

If you are a woman and a resident of Palm Beach Shores ( full or part time ) please join us at Community Service on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Thursday – October to May – at the Town Hall .
