JANUARY NEWSLETTER 2019
GENERAL MEETING
Craft Workshops will be held on the following Thursdays leading up to the February
Bazaar, our main fundraiser for the season: January 10, 17, 24, 31, February 7. Please
join us for any or all of these workshops, as we prepare crafts for sale at the bazaar.
Remember that cards are for sale at all of the luncheons and at all of the craft
workshops at Town Hall between 10 and noon on Thursdays. Be sure to tell your neighbors about the
card sales, as our cards are beautiful, fun and being sold for a good cause. And besides all that, they
are a bargain compared to the cost of cards in the store!
Thank you to all the community service members who have helped with crafts, with making
sandwiches for St. Ann’s and with reading to students at Lincoln Elementary. I think that all would
agree that they enjoy being part of these projects. If you have any questions about any of our projects,
please email Cindy at
cstevens52@gmail.com
.
HOLIDAY MARKET
The Market was a huge success! We made over $1800.00 for our charity funds to
be distributed in the spring. Thanks to all that contributed to the outcome:
Community Service volunteers for their crafts & ideas, donors of lovely
Christmas decorations & boutique items, workers who helped with set up,
manning the booths & cleaning up, bakers who donated to the bake sale &
finally to our shoppers. THANK YOU!

year. As in the past this is an all week endeavor requiring many hands to
make it a success.
We will begin our set up on Monday, February 11th with the hauling
process from the Seaspray to the Community Center at 10am to 1pm. We
need SUV’s & pickups to help.

over if need be. 9 to noon.
Wednesday, February 13th is marking & presentation on the tables. 9 to noon.
Thursday, February 14th is final marking & presentation in preparation for Seasider only shopping
from noon to 2 pm. Will need department heads at their booths to collect money. Turn your cash in to
treasurer Judy Craddock immediately following sale.
Friday, February 15th is the opening day of Bazaar. Department heads & workers from 7 to 2. Turn
your money into treasurer Judy Craddock immediately following sale. Light lunch provided by Carol
Pirro.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Saturday, February 16th is the second day of sales. Department heads & workers from 7 to 2. Light
lunch provided by Carol Pirro.
Turn your money into treasurer Judy Craddock immediately following sale.
Break down of all tables-clothes bagged & hauled to balcony, items packed up into boxes & hauled to
balcony, all supplies such as racks, hangers, displays, tags, markers etc. need to be packed & brought
downstairs for storage in our closet for use for the future. Please bag all garbage & trash. All leftover
items must be ready for pick up for donation both upstairs & downstairs. If we all work together we
can once again make this a successful bazaar. Thank you.
Please email Elizabeth Kuechenmeister at
keykennymystir@aol.com
to sign up for any of the above
days you can help. She has a complete list of departments including donations for Bake Sale items.
For pickup or arranging a delivery of your gently used donations please call, text or email Chris
Mielke at 574-298-6503 or

. Due to lack of manpower if you have larger
furniture items to donate please plan to deliver those to the lower level of Community Center on
Tuesday or Wednesday of bazaar week.

Sad News
Ingrid Defusco passed away last week. There will be a memorial service on Jan. 5, at 1:00pm at the
Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 745 US Highway 1, North Palm Beach, FL, 33408. Ingrid
served on the Board for two years as Second Vice President, Name Tags. Her kindness and
thoughtfulness is demonstrated by her obituary’s request “In lieu of flowers, please consider a
memorial donation to Seasiders…” Click here to see the full obituary:

Website:
Ladies please send me your pictures for Web pages as soon as you take
them. I can edit but need place, date and first names of everyone or just a group
name. Please send right side up and in small format (if your phone asks you what
size to email). I can edit if this is confusing for you.
It is a great way for ladies to stay in touch with us regardless of where they are and
what they are doing! (i.e. broken leg in Canada 🙂 ! )
Cheers, Cathy
